报告题目：From optimal Transportation to Nonlinear Optimisation

摘要：In this talk, we first introduce the optimal transportation problem and its Kantorovich’s dual functional, from which arises the research area of linear programming, also called linear optimisation. As an extension, we then introduce a class of nonlinear optimisation problems. Under mild assumptions, we obtain the existence of potential functions and show that the potential function is a generalised solution of a Monge-Ampere equation. We also present some interesting applications in geometric optics problems.
报告人简介：刘佳堃教授，2010年博士毕业于澳大利亚国立大学，师从汪徐家教授，Neil Trudinger教授; 2010/09－2013/01，普林斯顿大学数学系博士后。2013年至今，在澳大利亚卧龙岗大学数学与应用统计系工作。主要从事偏微分方程（特别是Monge-Ampere方程）正则性理论方面的研究。在Monge-Ampere方程方面，在Trans.AMS, Adv.Math., ARMA, Math.Z., CPDE，CVPDE等国际著名数学期刊上发表论文18篇。
