摘要: The focus of this talk is the stability of certain steady/traveling solutions, particularly the Rossby-Haurwitz waves, within the framework of the incompressible Euler equation on a rotating sphere. The key ingredient of the proofs involves analyzing a specific variational problem related to the rearrangements of a fixed function. The main challenge lies in the equimeasurable classification of the eigenspace of the Laplace-Beltrami operator. This work is a collaboration with Prof. Daomin Cao and Bijun Zuo.
报告人简介: 王国栋,大连理工大学数学科学学院副教授,研究方向为非线性偏微分方程,在Math. Ann., Trans. AMS, SIAM J. Math. Anal., CVPDE等学术期刊发表论文二十余篇, 主持青年基金一项,博士后面上和特别资助各一项。
