Principal eigenvalue of second order elliptic operator with large advection

内容简介：In this talk, we will discuss recent progress on the asymptotic behaviour of the principal eigenvalue of some second order operators. Through analyzing the closed orbits of the advection vector field, we obtain a complete result on how the principal eigenvalue converges for large advection.  We also find an unified viewpoint to understand some previous results on this topic, like [Berestycki-Hamel-Nadirashvilli, CMP 2005] and [Chen-Lou, IUMJ2008]. This is a joint work with Shuang Liu and Yuan Lou.

报告人简介：报告人周茂林博士，现为南开大学陈省身数学研究所研究员，2009年于南开大学本科毕业，2014年于东京大学获博士学位，2019年获批国家级青年人才项目。主持过澳洲DECRA项目、重点研发计划青年科学家项目、天津市杰出青年基金、天津市重点项目。周茂林博士的研究领域为抛物方程和特征值问题，在J. Eur. Math. Soc.、Math. Ann.、Ann. Inst. Henri Poincare Anal. Non Lineaire、J. Math. Pures Appl.、Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.、Indiana Univ. Math.、J. Func. Anal.等国际期刊发表论文20余篇。
