摘要:The field of moduli of an algebraic structure — such as avariety, vector bundle, or polarization — is the smallest field over which the structure is isomorphic to all of its Galois conjugates. A field of definition is a field over which the structure admits a model. Every field of definition contains the field of moduli, which leads to the natural question: is the field of moduli itself a field of definition? An R-singularity is a quotient singularity of the form A^n/G such that every twist admits a resolution with a rational point lying above the singularity. In this talk, we introduce neutral representations, and explain how their classifications help the study of field of moduli and R-singularities.
报告人简介:Tianzhi Yang is currently a PhD student at the Scuola Normale Superiore. His research interests lie in algebraic geometry, with a particular focus on the arithmetic aspects of algebraic stacks and the fields of moduli of algebraic varieties.
