An introduction to 2D nonlinear sigma models

摘要：Nonlinear sigma models correspond the harmonic maps and its generalizations in geometry. The space of the solutions in such models provide geometric invariants of the underlying manifolds. We will try to sketch the construction of some 2D supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models and talk about its geometric and analytic properties.
报告人简介：吴瑞军，北京理工大学教授。2017年在德国获得博士学位，之后在意大利比萨高师和意大利高等研究院做博士后，2022年入职北京理工大学。2021年获批国家高层次人才青年项目。研究领域是几何分析、非线性泛函，在狄拉克方程、超对称西格玛模型、超刘维尔方程等方面取得系列研究成果，论文发表在CMP, TransAMS, CVPDE等期刊。
